Earlier this week, a Yemeni woman decided to run for President, with the Presidential election being held next year. If she wins, I'd suggest to anyone going to hell to bring a parka with them.

Has this happened in the Arab world before? I know it has in the Moslem world of course, but in the Arab world? |

I don't know. Open presidential elections themselves are quite rare in the Arab world. She probably isn't the first though; if that were the case, then I think the article would have mentioned it. |
