|
|
Thought I'd begin a list of Western songs that were probably written about Korea.
1. Where the Streets Have no Names (U2)
2. If I Ever Get Out of This Place
3. Don't Go Breaking My Contract (Elton John/Kee Kee Dee)
4. |

It's more classic rock than pop, but how about Skynyrd's, "That Smell"
"Ooooh that smell
Can't you smell that smell?"
Or also from classic rock (The Who),
"Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss." |

That would be...."Black Korea"
"Cuz ya can't turn the ghetto... into Black Korea"
Shopowners and all~
Or how about "I Bombed Korea" by Cake?
Actually, there's some British (I think) British rock group called The Koreans, but they don't have any songs about chopstick technique or mandatory military service... No clue why they chose the name, actually.
When I first saw the title of this thread, I thought these would be the only two songs to come up, and maybe the theme song from MASH or something.... |
