So what's the deal with Asiana airlines not accepting foreign issued credit cards?
A bit of a joke !

Why is it a joke?

Is it the same joke that www.expedia.com and other US travel sites accept only US cards?

Or is it somehow funnier?

If you're departing from the USA, you can go to http://us.flyasiana.com to use your American credit card.

Hasn't this been done already? Yes it's a pain in the butt, but it's hardly unique to Korea.

Slow down people !
I didn't say it was unique to Korea!
I also don't live on this site, so I'm sure many things have been done before. Regardless, it aint good for business. It's a pain

Thanks,

I bought a ticket through Asiana today actually. They gave me a reservation number and told me I had to pay through a travel agent. Maybe you can do that?

Or..go to an asiana office near where you live, bring c-a-s-h and pay for your ticket.

As for the foreign credit card thing...it is business as usual for them and for many other airlines around the world....

Just as a side note, the reson I had to go to a travel agent is because they couldn't take any credit card ( including the one I have from KEB) for that particular flight.
