I'm going to Fukuoka over the holidays, and I'm trying to find anyone there who might be interested in hanging out or showing me around. Does anyone know of a good site where I could post something to that affect? Or, even better, does anyone know anyone in Fukuoka who would take pity on a lone traveler? Have a place to stay, just need social interaction.

Heh, nah, I already tried that with CouchSurfer.com but there was nobody in Fukuoka.

Now I've got a terribly overpriced room booked, I'm just looking for people to hang out with.

You can try Fukuoka-Now and their forums.
