I've been dealing with the same shop in Cheongju for a few years now, and I want to take the opportunity to advise anyone living in the area to go there for all your computer needs. It's a TG shop near Sachang Sageori (��â ��Ÿ�) about 2 blocks toward downtown.

Their prices aren't as good as Yongsan, of course, but the service is unbelievable. I started upgrading a crappy old system about three years ago and ended up buying a new video card, burner, ram, etc, before I finally decided that I would go the whole nine yards. I took it in and they transplanted all the new-ish stuff I had bought into a new case with a 2.8 gig processor and 256k of extra RAM (for free!). I won't go into all the details, but they frankensteined (it's a word now, dammit!) me up a kick-ass machine that works like a charm.

The kicker is, I came back to Korea after a 3 week vacation and to find that the machine was screwed! I took it into the shop and they explained that the mother board was fried and had to be replaced. I pulled out my credit card to pay for what I assumed was going to be a pricey repair, and they told me it was free! The motherboard was still under warranty, and labour was free. I even argued, saying that I bought the thing more than 2 years ago, but they just smiled and sent me on my way.

I can't say enough good things about these guys!

I know 99% of folks on Dave's will find this useless, but for the growing Cheongju expat community who want computer stuff with a smile and amazing after-service, see these guys!
