So where are some good places to buy rollerblades?
I am thinking of picking some up for a Christmas present.
Thanks |

I've seen them on sale in the technomart (the basement supermarket section), combined with haversack to carry them. The technomart is in Gangbyeon (sp?) on the green line. There are also a lot of sports shops in Dongdaemun so i'd imagine you could buy them there as well. |

Places like LotteMart, Homeplus, Carrefour and the likes have them so they shouldn't be too hard to track down. Failing that, as Grimalkin said the area around Dongdaemun Stadium in Seoul is stuffed full of sports equipment shops and you're bound to find them there somewhere, possibly cheaper than in the big supermarkets. |

There are many inline skate stores near Anyang Stadium, but it's pretty out of the way unless you live in the southern Seoul 'burbs. |

There are several huge sports shops at both Tongdaemun and Tongdaemun Stadium subway stops that carry skates. They run from about 90,000 to 500,000 a pair.
Also in Myoung Dong, there is a pretty big skating shop. If you take exit 5 from Myoung Dong Subway station (Migliore), walk towards U-2 zone, but make the first major right. It is on the second block, on the left, 2nd floor. I found them very knowledgeable and very helpful. |

You're probably looking for the regular kind, but if you want 'em for in-line hockey or just prefer a hockey-style boot, you'd best go to either Jim Paek or Hockey Giant, which are both across from Mokdong ice rink.
They're among the few stores that carry brands like CCM, Graf, Bauer, etc... A bit more expensive, but if that's the type you're looking for, those are the stores to find 'em at. |
