I doubt the importance of polls......but seeing as many here were giddy a month ago about Bush's plunging poll ratings........
an update.
Bush's approval rating surges before Christmas

BEIJING, Dec. 20 -- U.S. President George W. Bush's approval rating has surged in recent weeks, according to the latest Washington Post-ABC News Poll.
Bush's overall approval rating rose to 47 percent from 39 percent in early November. Bush's pre-Christmas rebound was fueled largely by a sharp increase in support among his core supporters, according to the poll.
His approval rating on Iraq jumped 10 percentage points since early November, to 46 percent, while his rating on the economy rose 11 points, to 47 percent. A majority of 56 percent said they approve of the way Bush is handling the war on terrorism.
Bush is still not in robust political health as 52 percent surveyed said they are unsatisfied the president's job.
The Post-ABC News poll suggests that the massive turnout in last week's elections in Iraq, coupled with a public relations offensive in which Bush delivered five speeches and held one news conference in less than three weeks' time, have delivered a substantial year-end bonus to the president. "Bush Approval Ratings Soar".... like a chicken :?
http://www.pollingreport.com/BushJob.htm
Here you go...
check out exactly what that 47% means.. (41% in the same target dates...50% two days before).
it HAS been slowly gaining throughout december but really...was he going to go lower?
prolly not.
Basing opinions like this on the result of ONE poll is a little silly. |

What the . . . ?
Msnbc.com just ran a poll in which 85% of respondents voted that Bush SHOULD BE IMPEACHED!
Link: http://tinyurl.com/8kukf
Further, a congressman from Michigan has introduced a resolution that the US Congress investigate Bush for possible "impeachable offenses"--his words, read it here:
http://www.rense.com/general69/imr.htm
Bush is likely on the way out.
Expect a time of troubles ahead.
And don't ride the New York subway after it's just been vacated for a few days: far too much time for the Secret Team to plant explosives--wouldn't that just be convenient now?

He was referring to Bee. Those numbers are due for a massive re-drop. And even the issues for which they have climbed are BS. For example, do you really think he would be talking about pulling out tropps at this time if not for the slap upside the head he got recently? Hell no. |

Nah, Bush will step down when his time in office is up. And the next President will take office. And there will be likely be a massive drop in postings on this board as Bush leaving office will (for some) remove the only reason that they post here.

That is one of the most important reasons I plan to keep up on postings on this board through 2008: I want to see what happens with the anti-American posters who claim that it's all about W. Bush... |

It's too bad Dave doesn't have archives that go back beyond this current incarnation. I joined in '99 and things were pretty much exactly the same then as now. |

Just my personal observation, but as I recall anti-American sentiment in Canada dropped off considerably after Clinton became president. |

No, it was always there. It just took a back-seat for a few years. I would think that would be obvious to you? |
