Winamp has removed the music video feature from its software for international users. You can still view the videos if you go to their website, although that is a pain, and the interface doesn't let you search. Winamp seems to avoid commenting much on the issue. There are a few discussing it on their forums, but the Winamp people seem to be generally mute about it. They posted some "fix" for the issue, but it only helps those living in the USA who are having a problem of a different nature. Another guy said he is able to "roll back" a certain file to the older version, and it works fine for him. SO DON'T UPDATE!
Winamp is filtering the video option from users by checking their IP. Not sure if it is due to their new version of Winamp, or not. Keep your older version if you have it -- don't update.
Winamp was bought-out by AOL over a year ago, and no one from the original Winamp team still works there. |
