Since living in Korea we have had the idea of taking some of our students home with us to "tour" America for 15 days. We have worked out most of the costs and think we can get about 10 kids to go. So after all that, now we are trying to plan the trip for this December.

Has anyone out there done something like this and know the procedures for getting visas for the USA, travel/health insurance for the kids, and any other legal matters we might need to know? The US embassy website wasn't to helpful. Any places or sites you know of that give info etc. .?

Thanks,
al

All i can tell you is that it costs 100 dollars for a tourist visa for Koreans. Since they are children, I'm guessing they won't need to be interviewed. But I guess you know this basic info since it is on the US Embassy's website.

If you want more info, contact a travel agent, they'll have the full scoop I'm sure. Top Travel is one of the largest travel agencies in Seoul and has some staff that speak english. They are located in the YMCA building by Jonggak station. Don't have their phone number but there was a post with their phone number awhile ago.

I'm pretty sure at least a couple of the travel agencies that have ads in the Korea Herald could give you some info as well.
