Anyone have any recommendations for a decent but economical web hosting place? Not a free one with pop-ups and banners, but not an expensive super-pro solution either.

And PLEASE no &*%* Korean language virus/spyware plugins required.

Site 5 is great. It's only $6.95 per month for 3gb storage, 50gb transfer, 5 pointer domains, unlimited sub-domains, php, mysql and loads of other good stuff. The community forums are also incredibly helpful.

If you choose site 5 please click the link above as I will get a kickback. Anyhow if you have any other questions ask here or you can pm me.

I used to use powweb until they had outages every bloody week. I was with them for 18 months (13 good ones) and moved earlier this year. If things have gotten better that's great, but....

Leo Laporte formerly of TechTV uses VizaWeb. $5.95/month, 1 gig of disk space, 70 gigs transfer per month. Dunno if it's good or not, but seems cheap.

network redux has 5GB for 5.95 US a month and I'm currently with them. THey are pretty short and snappy on support but at least they do their job. They have a good professional reputation.

Powweb looks to have the best stats/$ but I guess stability is more important. Have you had any problems with them, Nearlykorean?

Netfirms may not be the cheapest, but when I used them they were reliable and the customer service is top notch,

You've been with them for awhile now I think? I just don't like the paying 1 year in advance, but the seems to be sort of common amongst all of the companies. No probs yet?
