It dropped again to today. At the level it was in November of 1997. I for one hope it drops a lot more.

The Korean crisis began with financial meltdown in the fall of 1997 when the government had to appeal to the International Monetary Fund for loans to meet foreign exchange obligations.... Though meltdown occurred during Kim Young Sam's presidency, most of the "IMF era" comes after Kim Dae Jung's inauguration in February 1998.

Well, if you think GWB is going to address government debt (over 8 trillion USD) in the next month or so, send it now.

If you think that might be a bit too painful, perhaps wait.

The Korean won is getting stronger...I for one hope the gov't stops intervening and keeping it artifically low.

Notice that Won to Cdn dollar is a much better exchange. I hope the won goes super powerful...devalueing it for exports just screws us honest working folk Razz
