I would like to find; bath oil (for dry skin, to put on after shower) and peppermint body wash (the tingly kind). Does anyone know where I can find these things in the Bundang/Seoul area?

Thanks!

I think they sell neutrogena bath oil at Costco, and Lush makes a great minty body wash called Freeze, but it's pricy. You can buy Lush stuff at the Kosney store in COEX, though there might be other locations around.

You can always go to the Body Shop in COEX, and its Korean knock-off Face Shop also in COEX. The Face Shop has pretty much the same stuff as the Body Shop but it's about 75% cheaper, although some of that shows up on quality. If you want to spend more money, my favorite is L'Occitane store in Apgujungdong, near the Sony store. There's also a L'Occitane store in Myongdong too.

There's a L'Occitaine store in Korea? That's news to me. Is it expensive?
I love the savon de Marseille, or any good quality olive soap for that matter. Good olive soap also lasts a long time because it's been baked in the sun. It's also the best thing for men because the thin film that's left on the skin after showering acts as a natural protection against odour causing bacteria.

Right now, I use Lebanese or Syrian olive and laurel soap. If you know where to look, you can order some online at a fraction of the price of what it goes for in Korea (I pay 7 bucks for 6 large bars, while it sells for upwards of 15000won each in Korea).

Yeah, there are couple of L'Occitane stores in Korea. I know, I was surprised to find them here since they are somewhat tough to find in the States. Unfortunately, like anything else imported in Korea, they are expensive. I would say expect to pay around 50-75% above what you pay in the States.

I don't know about olive soaps, but I use olive shampoo and conditioner from Body Shop and it's quite good. I was never a big fan of Body Shop in the States but given that everything else is so overpriced, I was forced to use some Body Shop stuff. I'm sure they have Oive bars.

The best bath products in my opinion - the one I used to use in States - is from a company called Bodytime (www.bodytime.com). They're a small company based out of Berkeley, CA, but have great stuff. All their stuff is natural and most are quite affordable. I used to order their stuff online but I haven't ordered any since I got to Seoul since I don't know what customs is like. Enjoy!

There is a LUSH in Jeongja-dong, Bundang, on the main restaurant street that runs behind Paragon apartments (a block behind the subway, away from the river, and walking towards Sunae-dong). There is also a LUSH in the new Juk-cheon EMart complex just south of Ori Station.

And, of course, like everything else, they are extreeeemly expensive when compared to the prices in the UK -- most products are appx double their Cdn equivalent, and triple+ than the UK product. But, they do give a 5% points card, so that's a slight "savings" there.
