Unfortunately, you can't send an image as an attached file like you can with e-mail.
The image has to be "out there" in cyberspace somewhere.
I've quite computer-illiterate, so others might be able to give you more and better advice.
What I did was search the Internet for images that I could use.
Make sure that they're not too large, etc.
Once you have an image out there in cyberspace, copy the URL into the last line at the bottom of your profile.
Go to this link to learn more about avatars.

To my knowledge, the vast majority of gay clubs are in Seoul. There may be one or two in MAJOR cities (read Daegu/Pusan), but they:
1) would be hard to find
2) may not be accepting to your average waegook
There are threads on clubs in seoul, but if you need more info I'll fill you in. |

Fnerr fnerr! That's what Finbar Saunders would say anyway
On a more serious note photobucket is a fine place to store images for avatars and in Itaewon near 'hooker hill' there is a a 'homo hill' which has quite a few gay bar places. |

| I've lived in Seoul now more then ten years, and I've often heard of the fabled "hooker hill." But what the hey is it? |

Pretty sure it's in the vicinity of Bukhansan. |

| What is it, not where is it, although Bukhansan is no where near Itaewon. |

I always thought hooker hill was that road that, with a left turn, leads to the used bookstores.
Try to take a girl along as that seems to keep the prostitutes from running out and grabbing you. |

Anyone who uses the expression "what the hey" should probably just steer clear of Hooker Hill all together. |

I've seen it three times in nine years.
Hooker Hill is the hill behind Burger King up to the Kettle.
Yes, the establishment owners (ajjumas) will try to recruit your date.
If she's hot. |

Anyone who has lived in Seoul for 10 years but never seen Hooker Hill should probably never go there.
Is it just me, or did you guys not head out there ASAP after you arrived in Seoul? For the curiosity factor alone, of course.
Then again, I've met people who won't go to Itaewon, day or night, because they think it's some kind of hellhole where you could get stabbed, raped, robbed and sodomised all on your first visit. |

I never went to "Hooker Hill" because it seemed to me during those 10 years that it was just another red-lit, prostitute-at-the-door, not-that-big-of-a-deal. Sadly enough, there are several places all over Seoul for that fare, and if you just wanted tuna, there are better places for it with better fare, again, all over Seoul. From what some other posters said about "hooker hill," I now don't think I need to go there to know what it is.
I just thought that in the original post, it might actually have been something somewhat new. I prefer not to go to those places because it is sex slavery to a great extent there. At least at the other places, the women are there because they end up chosing their being there, to a certain extent. In the red-lit shops, the prices are fairly low because it is human trafficking.
Sorry to put wet towel on your collective enthusiasm for the place though. The hookers at JJ Mahoney's nearby seem at least a cut above the usual fare though. At least they dress nicer, if you like that sort of thing. |

| I've walked through the area quite a few times over the years. It's not a big deal, I don't pay anyway. I mentioned the area cos there is a 'gay area' near there and I was being helpful. |
