I know what you mean. I have a 15 month old and he gets into everything he can get his hands on. What I do on those I hate Korea days is go out with friends for a bout of drinking and ranting, nothing helps like shared experience. But I don't get out much so I listen to alot of music, play NHL 2000, play with my little guy or even take my bike out into the counrty for a few hours. Downloading stuff like Southpark or the Simpsons helps to. |

Well remedy to the 'I hate korea days' is simple.
I like to watch romantic comedies and eat ice cream.
This is closely followed by dancing around my apartment to 80s pop anthems.

My daughter is about 16 months now. And she loves to touch everything that she isn't allowed to. |

Wait until she's 16 years old and a whole other genre of things you don't want her to touch begins.
Can you feel the stress, brother?

For me personally, even though I don't have too many of the "I hate Korea" days, when I do I remind myself that the reason I am staying in this country is because of my fiance , and that thought's all I need. |

I check my bank balance and remind myself that I'm half way through this odyssey. Then I get some chocoloate Haagen Dazs. |

I've been here 10 months and I have never had an "I hate Korea day" yet. However, I've had some "I hate the hawgwon days". |

Dealing with life when Korea kicks you in the teeth:
Go spearfishing
Go bass fishing
Cook some gourmet non-Korean food
Knock back a bottle of good merlot
Have a roll in the sack with the little lady
Go for a jog in the mountains and then take a nap out in the woods
Call a good old friend from back home: this one really brings you back to earth from this Korean unreality.
And one of my favorites: fight back. The retarded neighbor kid keeps leaving his bike where you park your car? No problem--just pitch it down into the ditch next time. Some Korean guy giving you the death stare? Just look his wife over and smile. Be a di-- on your own terms. The dancing promotion girls down the street at the store opening have their music cranked too loud? No problem if you have some nuts--just go over and remove the cassette and throw it in the street. What are they going to do? You're a waygook freak--who cares? The pimp? What's he going to do? It feels extremely good to not give a F---.
The above examples are extreme and true, yet for the most part I'm pretty well-adjusted--but now and then, it feels exceptional to get a little mental. |

I think I've definitely been here too long. Hardyandtiny's comment actually made me laugh out loud. |

Depends on the victim. Last week I got a subway card with 14,000 left on it. |
