Hey, i know u need a degree for a job but was wonderin wether u actually have to already be conferred with it by the time ur applying for a position.

For example,I finish my last yr in college in my may and hope to start working by July but wont actually be given my parchment until October.Would this be a problem for employers and recruiters?

Probably....

A notarized copy of your degree is used during the processing of your e-2 visa. Contacting your university for confirmation of your status is a hassle most employers and recruiters would rather do without.

You could try faxing your transcript to your recruiter and explaining the degree is being processed. Common sense says a transcript should have more weight than your degree certificate. But then again, it's only common sense and well.......
