I got a high school offer from Work'nplay and they seemed like a fairly decent outfit. They had set up a series of interviews with candidates at the high school and the high school chose me. Unfortunately for them, I didn't choose their high school and left them dangling for too long and I think screwed them up a bit. I remember poor Anne complaining to me that I was making them look 'unprofessional' (lol) by wanting to go over the contract, stalling, and wondering if things could be changed. Oh well, maybe high schools should offer more than 2.0 and two weeks paid holiday if they want experienced teachers who look the part. Work'nplay, despite having a name that sounds like they cater to packbackers, looked like a good outfit and appeared to be connected with real schools, not just hogwans like most recruiters.

Worknplay is one of the better outfits out there. They are recruiters, though. It is their job to place people, and they don't do it for free. You need to guard your own interests with ANY recruiter.

Worknplay are very unprofessionla to begin with. They have little to no knowledge of immigration policy and make themselves look stupid due to not making a simple phone call and finding stuff out. Most posters on daves know far more about immigration procedure than they do. Avoid them.

skconquerer is not exactly a good person to take advice from on this matter regarding WNP. This individual has a bone to pick with them because of a job not working out, and much of it is due to SK just being a fool (if SK is who I think it is). There are two sides to every story, and if SK is the individual I heard about, there is definately ANOTHER side worth hearing.

WNP is just as I stated. They are among the better ones out there, but they are still recruiters. You have to watch out for yourself with ANY recruiter. You just have to use every recruiter you can, and pick the best job that works for you. Don't lock yourself in to one recruiter for all of your needs. Use them as they use you, make no promises, and refuse to be bullied. Recruiters will try to get you to commit. That is their job.

I got my current public school job through WNP and they were very professional and helpful throughout the entire process. They quickly responded to emails and kept on me about getting my visa docs sent on time. They also were contracted to provide the training for my group of new recruits and did a great job at that, as well. Michelle and Anne still keep in contact with those that wish to stay in touch, and they even sent token gifts to us at Christmas time.
I talked with a few other recruiters and they always gave me the runaround or were very slow to respond to emails. WNP was by far the best of the lot for me.

Got my current job through NetKorea. They were pretty decent and seemed to have it together.

I dont know who you think I am, but I am actually working at a school in which WNP placed me in. All I am saying is that they are unprofessional, inaccurate, and tell people things that they themselves know nothing about. This could be true about other recruiters as well, all I am doing is warning the OP to be careful, and not take ANY recruiter's word at face value.

I'm looking for a job right now too and have been talking to WorknPlay. While they were really nice I did have one person try and kind of guilt me into taking a postion.

I made specific requests about location and hours and when she found a position for me which she though I should like she sent it to me. I said no to location and hours and she just couldn't understand why I didn't jump on the position.

She e-mailed and called me and was nice but made me feel like she knew what was best for me.

I would say, just don't let anyone bully you into taking something you don't want. I started to suspect she couldn't unload the job and was getting a bit desperate. Never a good sign.

Another recruiter (AJ, teaching korea i think)which i thought was a school posting a job sent me a really unprofessional yet funny e-mail....saying "yeah....um.....like which position did you like cause I have like.....um.....a bunch of them" sounds a bit like a surfer dude to me not a recruiter.

most recruiters are illegal and I would say 98% of do illegal work!
its illegal for a recruiter to offer give parttime work to a E2 teacher, private , without the proper paperwork!
so that being said! dont trust anyone! as BBE said.. look out for your own interests and dont trust them as far as you can throw them!
