I'm getting marrried in May and my fiancee and I are looking at the package deals in places like the Philipinnes, Bali, and Thailand (Phuket). Does anyone have any recommendations about these places. I'm really keen into sporting activities like scuba diving and surfing. Overall, we want to just get the most bang for our limited buck! |

I have been to the Philippines and Phuket Thailand, an dI would definitely recommend Phuket! We did so many tours, white water rafting, elephant trekking, snorkelling, paragliding, swimming, aromatherapy couple massages, mini-golfing, romantic sunset cruise on a chinese junk etc. It was awesome, great service, everyone was willing to barter, and we got great bang for our buck even though we were there for Christmas and High season. The Philippines were great, I did scuba diving there, but there wasn't as many options for us to chose from there.
Cheers! |

ko phi phi might be better for the honey mooner set. it's more quiet and romantic. phuket is big and dirty and crawling with sex tourists. |

I did Boracay for my honeymoon. It was nice but there were A LOT of Koreans.
Check for FAQ for some locations. |

For a surprisingly small amount extra, you can get over to the Maldives through a Korean company that specialises in h-moon tours. We flew across and home with Koreans, but once on the island, we rarely saw them. More your 'water sports and relaxing on the deck with a c0cktail' kind of honeymoon place than a shoppers/clubbers paradise. |

The wife and I got married in September 05 and are finally having our belated honeymoon in Bali in 2 weeks time. Internet deals are dirt cheap now, we got our room in a 4 star hotel for 40 bucks a night. |
