Why keep it in the freezer in the first place?

A straight shot of good vodka that's been in the freezer for a few hours
1)Tastes incredible and has a wonderful silky smooth texture
2)Will give you an instant buzz
3)Is the main ingredient of the best bloody mary you'll ever drink:
4 cups frozen cherry tomatoes
8 oz chilled vodka
Juice of 2 fresh limes or 4 oz lime juice (substitute lemons if need be)
1 tbsp freshly grated horseradish or 1 tbsp prepared extra hot horseradish
1 tbsp Tabasco sauce
1 tbsp Wooster sauce
Salt & Pepper to taste
Puree all ingredients in blender until smooth but very thick.
Guaranteed to cure any maladies you may have because after you drink it you just won't care about them. I bought a blender in Korea just so I could make this cocktail.(hmmm.... censor doesn't like the American word for mixed drink)

I don't chill hard liquor. Only beer. I hate soju.

You are indeed wrong.

No one has touched the vodka. In fact, this happened again (yeah, I bought more vodka), but the bottle froze before I'd even opened it.

Hmmm... a frozen bottle of Absolut in my freezer..

I thought vodka wasn't supposed to freeze. Question

No worries - I thought people like you weren't meant to think.

You're right. Can you give me some tips on how to switch my brain into neutral before I log onto Dave's? What's your secret?

Q- there is something wrong wth your supplier-frozen vodka isn't possible-unless you have a -100c freezer-your supplier s screwing you-can't you get it?

Well I buy it from HomePlus. I suppose it's possible Absolut ships lower-quality vodka to only HomePlus stores. Regarding the temperature of the freezer, I've never measured it, but I doubt it's -100c. Beyond these considerations, I guess I "can't get it", smartass. I love how some people have to get rude over even the most frivolous of issues. Rolling Eyes

You didn't say what brand of vodka. I'm with everyone else: I have never heard of this happening. You've got some watered down vodka. But, with vodka, how would you know except for it freezing??

I had no problem reading the words "Absolut" the couple of times in this thread it was mentioned.
Not my favorite brand (Stoli or Smirnoff blue label) but it just happens to be the same brand I have in my freezer, unfrozen.

Yeah, it's Absolut.

Actually, the first time I experienced frozen vodka was about 5 months ago when I bought one of those $6 bottles. I just assumed it was lower quality and that's why it'd frozen. However, the two most recent experiences were Absolut.

Also, they don't freeze rock solid like ice, but it does take a few minutes for them to thaw enough to where I can actually pour from them.

Indeed, I do enjoy this peculiar situation, because vodka slushis are great!
