To have his arse kicked by a stranger for saying to said stranger F***You! or F*** USA! (I'll forigve them for thinking I'm American. At that age, I would have called them Chinese)

You know, when the kid is 12, 13, 14... I just kinda laugh and say something in Korean like "Thanks, you're so handsome" or "You have excellent manners" to get a laugh out of the kid.

But I'm at the point if one more 16, 17 year old high school kid walks past me and says F.U I'm gonna have to do something about it. Ok, ok. I won't actually kick his arse, but a good scaring is in order. Grab him by the scruff of his neck and tell him off, chase after him like a crazy person. Someone has got to teach these kids some manners.

(yeah, I definitely want my kids growing up in Korea now Rolling Eyes . Where else do children treat adult minorities with such great respect?)

It depends on your age. If you pick on a 16-year-old who's half your size and you're a hairy 30-year-old, may mob violence correct your mistake.

I've never had a Korean kid actually come up to me and be rude like that. You must be giving some bad vibes.

Usually they are painfully polite and shower you with compliments like "Canada very good" or "you very handsome." Usually when they say the f word it is in a funny, playful kind of way and they usually pronounce it with a "p" instead of an "f."

The worst I've ever been called is a migook and it's more of a curious finger pointing thing than anything else. Hardly insulting.

Last spring I jaunted out for a walk and passed by a group of kids, no older than 6th grade. The leader of the pack, a girl, pointed and said "Waeguk ajeossi!" Confused

My years up in Seoul, not once.

But down here, in 6 months, I would say it has happened about 7 or 8 times. So no, not that often. Just ticks me off when older kids do it cuz I see them, in 5 to 10 years, turning into one of those d!cks that like to stir up crap when you're out for fun, or gives you those leers that just scream "let go of that Korean girls' hand and get the hell out of here" (not that I'm saying there are lots of 'em)

Big Mac, I was wondering about the vibes. But I've been told many a time that when I'm walking by myself I usually have a happy-go-lucky, goofy kinda look.

Well....that's enough to create suspicion right there. koreans usally have a serious look about them and some consider those who smile or have a goofy look about them to be semi-retarded. Wink
