We got a bunch of these games for our school, but ended up not using all of them. They're all brand new, never been used.
Jenga Extreme is a great gift for your Korean friends or colleagues.
It costs around 40,000 won here if you can find it, and $29+tax in Canada (superstore and walmart) last time I was there. It's basically like Jenga, except you can build the tower at different angles.
I also have several Scrabble games--wooden tile edition, still in shrink-wrap. I've only ever seen the plastic ones in the stores here.
My wife wants me to get them out of the house, so I'm offering these games for 20,000 plus shipping (4,000won). I could probably sell them for a lot more on auction, but my wife is too busy. You can combine the shipping if you want multiples. I think the shipping will be the same for 2 or 3.
I've posted pictures of both on my blog at
http://skindleshanks.blogspot.com/2006/02/for-sale-jenga-extreme-is-great-gift.html
I also have some test prep books and software, if anyone's interested. PM me for details. |

No, that's 20,000 each. They're brand new (the Scrabble games are shrink-wrapped, and the Jenga extreme games have their original seals). I have several of each game. |

hey there. I am interested in one of the scrabble games. I am wondering though, did you just get back from a trip from the States, buy them for $4.99 at Walmart, then bring them here and try to Jack up the price on all of us? The price you are asking is the same price at the stores (especially the one at the COEX bookstore). If you lower the price I would be interested. If not, eh....nevermind. If you do want to lower the price, PM me. |

Walmart in the US sells them for 4.99??? Maybe it's time I took a trip to the US! They sell for a lot more than that in Canada.
We bought them and had them sent over, but ended up not using them as we had planned. 20,000 does a bit more than cover what it cost us, and I think it's more than fair value to anyone who wants the wooden tile version delivered in two days to their door. If I didn't have six of them sitting in our office, I'd pay that--I wasted a fair bit of time looking for the wooden tiles here myself.
I don't get into Seoul much, but the best price I've seen from any of our book suppliers was 26,000 for the all plastic version.
If you want to save a thousand won or two, I can see about shipping them
by the slowest method. If I don't sell them, they'll make nice gifts for my colleagues and friends. |

lol. Can I be your colleague? On a serious note, yes, last year when I was in Florida, Wal-mart (I think it was a sale) had the "classics" for $4.99. I don't think it was the wooden tiles though. They had Scrabble, Monopoly, Chuetts & Ladders (sp?), and something else...oh....orignial boggle. Oh well..
$20 is still steep for me. Thanks though. If you want to sell it for $15 plus shipping, I will take one. |

Hmmm. I sold a few of thes scrabble games for 30,000 a few months ago and got more interest than now. Maybe I ought to push the price back up.
I'm open to barter offers, although it would have to be something I want. (I am interested in a decent set of computer speakers.) |

I bought a scrabble game off of you months ago and am so glad that I did. The kids LOVED it and were very impressed that they got a brand new game. The school's game was well-worn and missing tiles. I left it totally wrapped up so that the first class to use it would know that they were THE first. Should have had my camera on hand. If I didn't have it now, I'd gladly pay 30,000 for it. Totally worth it. Who cares what they are selling for back in the States? This is Korea and I didn't have to pay for international shipping or use valuable luggage space. |

They sold for 35,000 in Seoul at Kyobo, which is one of the very few places I ever saw Scrabble in Korea. That's how much we paid to buy ours, and it was the plastic tile game.
The only scrabble game that Walmart sells (look it up online) is over $30.00. I was home all this year and never once saw it on sale for $4.99, even at Christmas time.
Man, 20,000 won is cheap for what is offered. You don't have to insult the OP and complain of him charging too much. You can't even get it in the States for less than $20 --especially the game that has the wooden tiles.
What's the extra 5,000 won to you anyway? |

you guys have got to be kidding right? Man are you guys so quick to jump the gun. I told him it was too expensive for me, WTF is wrong with submitting a counter-offer? Get lost. You presume to tell me that because you looked online and there was no sale for $4.99 that it never happened? Re-check yourself; all of you.
I made a counter-offer. If the OP doesn't want to take me up on the offer, he/she doesn't have to. I didn't come on here saying, "ohhh man...I would never buy it, yada yada yada, what's wrong with you...yada yada yada". I simply asked a question and countered. I didn't come on here like most idiots and just flame the poor person.
FYI - I was home, South Florida, Dec. 2004. It was $4.99 on sale at Wal-mart (in the store, not online). IF you aren't familiar with the way pricing goes, most companies will sell the product online a little bit more than what it normally is. Also, read the post. I said I did not know if the box was with wooden tiles or plastic tiles.
Now, take your ignorant, noseying self to another board where people can give two cents about your pompous remarks. |

Guess you should have bought it in 2004, for 5 bucks. Then you wouldn't have to badger the OP to give you a discount on an already good price for a Scrabble game. |

I have gone ahead and purchased a board from him. He is a nice and seems to be an honest person. I don't mind spending a couple of extra bucks to support a fellow ESL teacher. Remember, we may argue on here, however when push comes to shove, most of us lend a helping hand to each other. Think about it.....
