Hey think I will write this deep thinking treatise about freedom ....but first I better be sure to put in 1 non sequiter and prove what a shallow person I really am..

Then I met a Canadian at the dog park, a woman from Toronto, believe it or not. She was exquisite, making me wonder about the un-exquisite souls stomping Korea.

Why oh why was this necessary????? Does this sort of crap not raise it's ugly head far too often????

Jawinseoul.

The United States still has the Armed forces draft. Im not sure being sent off to die without my consent would be considered freedom of choice.

Wow...things changed since I went to bed last night BECAUSE AMERICA HAS AN ALL VOLUNTEER ARMY. Yes you must register. Not the same as a draft.

Many minorities feel they no possibility of advancing in the white dominated workforce.

And alot of them do fine. My family included. My grandfather & grandmother started out as migrant workers in Midwest from Mexico. Got treated like crap. But eventually my grandfather worked for the U.P. Railroad for 30 years. Most of my uncles went to college and 4 of the served in the armed services. I am second gen citizen. Yep, it sucks but most people can make a living and do well with a little hard work and less whining.

Many people need to quit expecting a hand out cuz great great great grandpa was a slave. Me? I am all for reperations cuz then they can just shut the hell up and get on with living. It sucks being treated badly and in the U.S. everyone got their shot at being on the bottom from the chinese to the Irish.

In regards to freedom of speech you may consider the following: Howard Stern, 5 Second Television Delays and Cindy Sheehan being thrown from the State of the union address for wearing a T shirt (She makes my skin crawl personally).

Yeah Americans make stupid policy mistakes...in the sixties it was a free for all..and it was good. But the pendlum swings both ways and it will swing back it always does.

The United States only has two viable political parties. I dont see voting for Bush or against him as political freedom.

Well the Independent party cost Al Gore the presidency. And you can vote for donald duck if you want. That is some sort of freedom I suppose.

If you believe Timothy McVeigh, then Waco was not the best example of freedom for Americans to gather peacefully or the right to bear arms.

I don't beleive Timothy McVeigh. Sorry just me I guess. David Koresh did not "lawfully possess guns" He owned many illegal firearms and it was thought he was endangering children. The ATF handled it like a giant CF but he was not peaceful nor lawful.

I just can't gather why there are Canadians down here then, in Florida, USA, if these here in Korea are so adamantly set against us, representing ALL Canadians?

Could it be there are diferent venues and classes of life over there in Canada, some living rather direly, without hope, having to glean the shaving's off of a dog's behind over there in Korea?

Meaning, was this woman I'd met of better breed?

Come on, you're way out there and mean very little to the status quo, let alone typical Canadian, thereby making me wonder why I even bother, and why someone hasn't yet stepped up to the plate here in Korea, or on this board.

Is this the only place you can prove your worth? Is this the only venue you can use to malign, supposedly, a country that's at odds with yours, but low and behold, which other Canadians seem to admire?

Are these Canadians down here the real McCoy, or you?

I think you're just trying to join the bandwagon, kiss up to the Koreans and all, make yourselves look more than they.

Man there's so much we could reveal about the uppity attitude of those Canadians over there in Korea that I could have a field day.

You aren't even worth it in terms of most 'dogs' you claim are your own kind in Korea, yet downgrade on this board.

What? Was that attack supposed to be directed against me? I think it's pretty obvious that many Canadians want to visit Florida because of the nice weather. ... So what? What's your point?

.... I was just posing them as questions to think about. I myself participated in a rally supporting the American liberation of Iraq. A few thousand people gathered in Toronto to oppose the sentiment that Canada was against the war.

I agree more often with the Republican Party, than I do the Canadian Government. The memory of all those soldiers will be of great sacrifice, in a just war that changed the course of history for the better.

I hope this clarifies my position.
