Has anyone done a visa run here? I thought it might be a wee bit nicer than Osaka, particularly as I plan to spend 5 days or a week there.

Very very expensive hotels! Even the crap-dumps will cost you at least $40 a night. I've heard you can get it slightly cheaper at the Chungking Mansions in Kowloon, but I've heard some nasty stories about those places.
