Is it already considered to be the "past?" Then why do I hear it mentioned every second sentence whenever I hear the president say something?

Past - Having existed or occurred in an earlier time; bygone: past events; in years past. The time before the present.

September 11, 2001, yes that it the past. You are an English Instructor, aren't you?[/quote]

really good documentary if u ask me.

the elaborate hoax 9/11 certainly did the trick on the american masses. 2001-present day....brainwashed fervent zombies the lot of them, far worse than muslims.

Here's a good review ( minus the young narrator and hip hop beats ) of the film on a site which has been investigating the situation for awhile:

I haven't seen the film in its entirity, but the documentation is interesting at the start, showing the Joint Chiefs' proposal during the Kennedy administration to begin a war with Cuba by crashing a drone plane.

Think about it:

The Muslim fanatics we've been told are responsible for 9_11 attended flight schools where they learned how to pilot SINGLE-ENGINE cessnas and beechcraft with propellers. They did NOT learn how to pilot commercial jet aircraft.

This fact alone gives creedence to the so-called "consipiracy theory."

So, how could those terrorists steer a commercial jetliner? Nobody has asked this question.

It would be much more feasible to USE suicide bombers who THINK they're going to steer a plane into the WTC, but in reality the plane is a drone.

Why is it called a "conspiracy theory" as if there is no evidence to support the idea that the neocons carried out the whole plot? Because you are branded as a "traitor" by Anne Colton and all the other self-congratulating "patriots" as soon as you dissent from the mainstream views.

That should have been in theaters instead of Fahrenheit 9-11.

I'd place it in the category of current events. It will be in the past when it doesn't control people anymore. Things like the Cold War and the Napoleonic Wars are in the past. Things like the War on Terror or, say, the Winter Olympics, are ongoing. Sure, the speed-skating is finished, but there are still more events.

And no, I'm not an English teacher.

I guess I made my own mistake.

Alright, the Cold War is still in the present in the same way 9/11 is.

The video talks about things that happened 4 1/2 years ago....the past. There's lots of things that have happened in the past that still affect people. The feelings are present, but the actual incidents happened in the past.

Yeah, it's obvious. Technically I started writing this response in the past.

But using the expression "bring up the past" has a very specific connotation, and "past" in that sense is a little different from the temporal, physical definition.
