Sounds like the cops got caught with their pants down. |
They needed rock-solid evidence. |

Not difficult when the rocks are solid. |
Maybe the police will stand at attention during the trial. |
They'll have to put up a stiff defense or the prosecution will poke holes it.
I'm sure there'll be another probe. |
I think the penal code is very clear on what constitutes evidence in cases such as this ... |
I'm not quite sure about that. I heard that it's more opaque when it's a hands-on job. |
one more outburst like that, and you'll be held in contempt. |
Being hung is too good for them! |
if it pleases your honor, i move to withdraw my plea. |
Overruled. Don't interruptus. |
Of course, a firm grasp on the penal code is required to understand the ins and outs of this case. |
Right. Let's not go running off half-c*cked. |

Sounds like someone f'ed up.
The county isn't going to allow detectives to receive sexual services while investigating suspected prostitution anymore. <sniff, sniff>

Maybe it's time to put this story to bed. |

Or at least hide it under the bed.... or stop airing the dirty laundry... or stop the blow-by-blow commentary... |

This turn of events is unfortunate for the poor madam and her exploited employees. It seems to have blown up in their faces quite badly, leaving a nasty stain on their reputations. I wonder when the police will receive their comeuppance for their actions, thrust into the public eye so forecefully. They may be demoted to entry level positions during the normal intercourse of policing hours, I would reckon.
