Hi, yet another new person with questions. I have noticed that lots of you said not to use a recruiter. I placed my resume on work n play. The website seems to do the work for you. Schools in Korea contacted me themselves. Is this right? |

Sure.
There are several methods of finding jobs here. Posting a resume is one of them.
Good luck |

I'm completely FOR using a recruiter if this is your first time coming to Korea.
I wouldn't have known how to begin searching on my own, from home.
I say let the recruiter (or a website, ie work n play) do the leg work for you, helping you get in contact with the schools, and from there do your own research. (check blacklists, contact teachers who have previously worked at the school, and those who are working there now, etc.) |

Come here on a tourist visa and check out the hagwons yourself. You can check the local websites for job postings (although the Busan one is down at the moment www.pusanweb.com). |
