A great video of an American-Arab woman telling the 'religion of peace' some truth.

It is also a tribute to Al Jazeera for letting her express her views. It is probably the most open station in the ME (as far as I know, which concerning the ME isn't much)

I just started reading "burned alive" by a muslim woman, recounting her experiences. Reccomend it so far..

And if she - or her Arabic family - had not been allowed to emigrate to the U.S. what are the chances that she could developed these convictions rooted in freedom and the professional stature to credibly voice them on TV? (Probably, as an Arab-American with global contacts, all of her international communications are being monitored by Homeland Insecurity...)

a slam-dunk for sanity. I just think of all of the woman and girls (and men too) who were watching this, dumbfounded by her american audacity...beautiful

this gives me hope for not just al-jazeerah, but the entire region.

have a feeling people (especially historians) will be watching this clip for centuries to come. dare we dream of a day when a university or high school is named after this amazingly brave woman? let's say somewhere in Mecca?

Well to throw in another pessimistic view:

her POV will be dismissed because:

1. She's a woman
2. She's an American

I think the most discreditable (or damning) thing about her is that she's an atheist...
