Shocked

You'll pass out before you can finish it.

But alcohol poisoning is a distinct possibility.

Yes, it will kill you. But sharing it with others will slow it down.

Try it and see.

But seriously, why would you drink that? Are you that hard up for money? My advice would be: If you really want to get sloshed, bite the bullet and shell out a little more, because physically, you'll be sorry later.

Thanks, good info. It smells a little like all-purpose cleaner... I was leery that it was soju scented fingernail polish remover. You never know.

3.6 liters probably won't kill you if you pace yourself or maybe mix it, and don't drink it all in less than a few hours.

*drool* Where'd you find that?? It'd be good for my next batch of ginseng soju.
If you're new to soju, stick with what you know. Otherwise find Cuervo Gold at the local place.

Local market. I was s soju 1st timer... tried it without a mixer, that's what prompted "Will this Kill Me?" Since then I've had quite a bit mixed with Mountain Dew, Coke, and grape juice. Zero to buzz in 6 seconds.

In Korea, soju is to be consumed in shots with food in a social situation.
It can be mixed with various fruit juices or teas as a c0cktails.

When you slam a bottle on the street on the way home from work, you're a gonner.

Now that you have survived your initiation, you need to high tail it down to Itaewon and get a "The Soju Experience....Party in Korea" with Bill the Cat t-shirt.

It's the official soju-drinker's t-shirt and demonstrates our good taste...both in choice of liquor and attire.

IMO, Coke works well with soju. Some call it SoCo. OJ works too, but not as good I think. But then, how can you ruin the taste of soju? One of the great unanswered questions of the 21st Century.

I do recommend taking a bite of food before the first shot. Spicy works best, but almost anything will do. I think the important factor is to coat the taste buds with some protection before the onslaught begins.

And zero to buzz in six seconds is just about right.

Shop around and try different brands. There is some difference in taste. Not much, but some. I recommend Cham E Sool. I call it the champaign of soju.

I was surprised the first time I saw 300ml bottles of Soju here for about $1. Talk about a cheap high. At that price, I am surprised to not see so many drunks wandering the streets. Sure there are many, but one would expect many more. What happened to all the drunks? Maybe soju killed them. Or maybe they are too pissed to walk. Mad

Do upper class Koreans touch soju or is it a blue collar drug?

Great question... I've never met an upper class Korean. Ask someone.
