My Grandmom is from Prince Edward Island.

I went to U.P.E.I. and played for Georgetown in the old Island Baseball League and for the Montague-Area League. Some of the guys in Montague could have played N.C.A.A. Division One - no feffin' problem!

Islanders can play Ball. They can play ice hockey, too.

My point is that I went to the New Preparatory School at 113 Brattle Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and the Canadians there from the Maritimes were the nuts at hockey and baseball.

Georgetown's Lumber Kings, led by the great catcher, who's name escapes me, was also a very good goalie. (He's about forty, P.E.I. Guy.)

If you ask a scout from the M.L.B. if the guy could play in Division One, N.C.A.A., the agent would have to say, "Yes."

Derrick Johnston, who's father owned the Drop Anchor Inn, was also an awesome skater and hitter. Fork, yes, the Canuckleheads, like the Aussies and Kiwis, killers at Fastpitch Softball, can play Ball!

The Kiwis have at least three middle infielders in Double A (Milwaukee Brewers property, me thinks). Oz has loads of promising ball players in the minors not to mention a handful in the Big League. Oz's catcher is a very good hitter who can play awesome defense, too.

At the end of this post, my point is this: The Americans are not the only good baseball players on the block.

By the way, Larry Walker is one of the best players to ever don a pair of cleats. Armed with an incredible throwing arm, powerful bat, and fast legs, Walker is going to be elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, U.S.A.

Canadians, I assured my cousin from Kinross, P.E.I., that Canada would defeat the U.S. at the W.B.C.. Fork, I should have bet a bundle on that one, eh?!
