Oh, come on, Ken. Be fair. I doubt Air Canada is even half as good as you say it is.

Why is it most of us put up with the crappy service and rotten prices from Air Canada (yours truly included)?

One thing I've noticed is that flight attendants on Asian carriers are generally (read always) much more pleasant, polite and accomodating (sp) than their Western counterparts (read cranky b1tches).

Air Canada and Korean Air both suck, but Air Transat is by far the worst.

As far as service goes, Continental is the WORST!! A FA spilled water all over me, and I barely got a "sorry"!!!

Recently flew Malaysian Air. FA's were great, but what the heck was the noise like marbles rolling around in the air condioning system???? Scared the heck out of a lot of us!!

Oh come on, now, that's just crazy talk. Admit it, you're simply delirious with Yellow Fever, and you only trash-talk a perfectly fine airline and its lovely staff because you know you couldn't get laid by a cranky, frumpy, haggard, supercilious 50-something-looking 38-year-old stewardess if your sorry life depended upon it! Wink

While that may all be true Embarassed , it doesn't take away from the fact that

are what you're more than likely to encounter on western carriers.

korean airlines would be number 1 and Air NZ number 2, I know I havent been around much, but once you are strapped into the flying tin can.

Its the service that counts, the rest just determined by how fast you can get off the flying tin can.

BMI baby... only because they cancelled our flight from Paris to East Midlands Airport (UK) and we had to wait for the next one which was 5 hours away and my parents had to stay up waiting for us!

Asiana certainly gave me the scariest, most , crunching landing so far.
Easy jet was the most turbulence, bounciest airplane.

caledonia (?) ... a turkish airliner about 10 years ago. london-istanbul, people smoking right in their seats; we were sitting at the very back of the plane -- it was so loud we couldn't even talk. they ran out of food and drink before they made it back to us. worst landing of my life!

2. united

one of the wing flaps wasn't working properly. the co-pilot actually came out and was looking out of my window to get a better look at the wing. no more announcements were made after that to let us know if things were ok. longest landing of my life!

3. swiss air
pretty good airline, actually, but i happened to be in the air flying from switzerland-new york when a swiss air ny--switzerland crashed in canada. eerie feeling...

Air Canada's worse than Aeroflot/EasyJet/Air China combined, simply because of a quality-to-value ratio. I'd rather have a cheap flight with lousy service than an expensive flight and $hitty service.

Due to seniority, the only FAs on AC flights are old bags and extras from "Will & Grace". I think Singapore Airlines are the bomb, although I did have one trip from Pusan to Singapore that was largely mediocre.

So the main complaint against Air Canada is that their stewardesses aren't cute enough?

Give me an older woman who can manage a drunk adjoshi anyday, over those little girls on Asiana who let them get away with it because they're male and older.
