| Nothing seems to get done without a cellphone in this country. I am looking for a decent phone at a decent price. I am in Bundang near Seoul. I do not want to spend 200,000WON. |

| At my last visit to the phone store, I saw one very tiny and very basic phone (no camera, no folding, just a phone a little bigger than a credit card). The cost was, I think 30,000 won. There are tons of used phones around, too -- we have two that our one-year-old plays with -- they fold, etc. (no camera, no MP3 players) and are probably worth around 50,000 won (in theory -- but almost no one in Korea buys an unfashionable used phone). The bad news is that, I think, they always want 55,000 won for the phone number hookup. |
