Good! This is exactly what I've been suggesting for some time now.

Quote:

Amsterdam — The camera focuses on two gay men kissing in a park. Later, a topless woman emerges from the sea and walks onto a crowded beach. For would-be immigrants to the Netherlands, this film is a test of their readiness to participate in the liberal Dutch culture.

If they can't stomach it, they need not apply.

Despite whether they find the film offensive, applicants must buy a copy and watch it if they hope to pass the Netherlands' new entrance examination.

The test – the first of its kind in the world – became compulsory Wednesday, and was made available at 138 Dutch embassies.

Let me get this straight, if I come from a country which is so intolerant that I am not even allowed to see breasts or dudes kissing, then I don't have to take a real tolerance test?

Isn't that kind of like saying, if I'm retarded I don't have to take the math portion of the SATs to get into Harvard?

Of course, some countries are so depraved there's no point in even asking.

Also, citizens of the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan and Switzerland are exempt.

HA HA!!!

In your FACE Iran!

I think it's just because the images themselves are 100% illegal to show. I'm not sure but I expect it's more spoken word along the lines of "Dudes kiss and chicks like to bathe topless here, so that's what you'll see if you come (and what we'd show you right now if it weren't illegal)."

I like this quote:

Quote:
Dutch theologian Karel Steenbrink criticized the 105-minute movie, saying it would be offensive to some Muslims.

Really, you don't say!

every now and again you HAVE TO respect the dutch...even though their socialist+liberal ideologues used to get so caught up in themselves, it seems like they're proving that pragmatism AND open mindedness CAN coexist.

Why would a muslim want to move into a country where they would (from my experience) at LEAST see men kissing on the lips every day....
Isn't it kind of odd that a ME traditional greeting is lips kisses between men?

that said, if they can get past that, they'd be happy to know that very class b-movie porn was on almost every night of the week BY 10pm atthe latest.

AHHHHHH nl...how i love thee

Thats a silly tolerance test. You can lie through your teeth and there is no way to hold someone accountable. The current policy of "tolerance" is rife with dishonesty, fraud, abuse and corruption.

We have exterminated this stereotype to our detriment...

Quote:
Dutch uncle
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Dutch uncle is a term for a person who sternly lectures, comments or criticizes with unsparing severity and blunt frankness, to educate, encourage or admonish someone, often with benevolent intent, as though an elder relative or "uncle."

Originating in the early 1800s, this expression, often put as 'talk to one like a Dutch uncle', presumably alludes to the sternness and sobriety attributed to the Dutch. Some, though, have speculated that it may allude to qualities attributed to the Deutsch (Germans).

Example: "When I was late for class, the teacher talked to me like a Dutch uncle."

I wonder what a Korean tolerance test would include...

- A bunch of ajoshis spitting in the shower.

- Whitey getting yelled at for being with a k-girl.

- An ajoshi slapping his wife around in public.

- An ajuma coming up and mixing up your bibinbap for you because you didn't do a proper job of it.

- An ajuma holding her little boy's thingy to help him pee on the sidewalk when there's a public toilet right across the road.

- A crowd of children chasing whitey down the road screaming 'hello!'.

- A supermarket full of workers screaming into loudspeakers all at once.

I'm sure you could easily fill a 105-minute tape.

This 'tolerance' test will not work. As Dulouz has said, people will just lie to reach the promised welfare free-for-all that is Western Europe. The Dutch are still pretending that Muslims can integrate into their society and accept their cultural norms. They can't, and they won't. What they really need to do is end all immigration from Muslim countries, and deport the thousands that are there illegally, or who have not yet qualified for Dutch citizenship. If they don't they will wake up in 30 years time with a 30%+ Muslim population, and then they will be too far up the creek. Yet still, Europeans do not want to face up to reality.

Unfortunately, Islam and open mindedness cannot. That is the problem.

You are exactly right. But, this is a indicitve of a larger trend. Western Europe has been paralyzed by the political correctness of the Left and this is a big slap in their face (despite that letting in homo-hating arabs should be a progressive cause). This is the beginning of the end of political correctness and multiCult worship of the European elite. I hope.

I'm going to show some sincere tolerance. I think very large cities should have a multicultural zone but its got to stop there....

Oh the heck with it. Nevermind. Being nice to these people in any small amount means being screwed totally. This stuff just gets out of hand immediately. If you want to have a relationship, settle for nothing less than a mature one.

Yeah, I remember the time I lied through my teeth and somehow knew the historical role played by William of Orange and the monarchial functions of Queen Beatrix. As everyone knows, lying through your teeth gives you access to previously unknown sources of information.

IOW, read the article again. Or maybe this one:

The Dutch are on the right track. They're up front about what their country and culture is about, and if you want to join, you should adopt the same attitudes. If not, get the funk out.

The only way to have a non-divisive country is to have everybody buy into the same ideology.

For this reason, America will implode very soon. "Toleration" of all ways of life is impossible. Set up your values, broadcast those values, welcome people who hold those values, and discourage people with other values from coming in. Many a person has suggested America split up into two separate countries, and I think that's a good idea. A country divided against itself cannot stand (this is a Biblical principle, people).

Go Netherlands! You guys rock. I hope all the people in the world who think it's cool that dudes kiss other dudes and chicks go topless move to your country. I hope everyone else who thinks otherwise goes and lives in their own stupid backwards country and leaves other people alone.

We should seriously divide the world up based on ideology (rather than ethnicitY) and funk this globalization trend. Let everyone get back to paying attention to their own shtuff and leaving everyone else the funk alone.

Does tolerance include being tolerant of the intolerant?
