Apparently I have to take it back to the kiosk I bought it at with the warranty papers. The warranty says 1 year and its been 4 months, but I bought it at Kumho World and not a shopping centre. Anyone done this before. . . sucessfully.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but unless it is under warranty, buy a new one. It will be cheaper. Though it wouldn't hurt to have someone look at it incase it is just something not connecting.

Its still under warranty, but the kiosks don't give receipts so I mean there is no real proof of purchase.

I've brought my laptop to the Fujitsu center with zero paperwork and only my word that it was still under warranty and they fixed it up no probs for free. Twice. Odds are your Mp3 A/S center isn't going to ask for any receipt other than maybe the warranty document. |

If it's a big company with A/S centers scattered around they may already have the serial number on file showing when it was purchased. Took mine to Cowon A/S and fixed it right there even though I bought mine back home. I recommend Cowon poducts because of the good A/S. Heard Iriver also has good A/S.
