Could someone please tell me the names (directions if poss.) of clubs in Hongdae playing rock music? Or of anywebsies where such info can be found.

For plain old generic rock I think your best bet is probably Rolling Stone on the main Sinchon road. Another good band worth checking out if you like indie rock is the Waking Party. They always seem to play in FF. |

generic rock/modern rock--woodstocks, rolling stone.
modern rock-indie rock--club ff
punk/indie/noisy/heavy--skunk hell, dbgb's??,
aura-I've never been to aura but they've had shows and they're supposed to play good tunes. |

Guitar Wolf will play Seoul at the end of April at Ssamzie Space, which is in Hongdae. It's closer to Sanwoollim Theater (bus #273) and Aura than it is to Hongdae main gate. Go up the hill by Crown Bakery.
Check out www.tuung.net or www.myspace.com/tuung They usually bring bands to Korea 3-4 times per year. |
