Shocked i need some advice. I have my ba in english and took a lot of education classes but didn't get my teaching certificate. I graduated 10 years ago and have been working in totally unrelated field(construction industry). I am just beginning to apply to jobs so I want to know what you guys think. Would i be better off teaching kids or adults? What is an average day like? Is grammar something to teach or is it all conversational? How do you begin when neither you or your students speak the language, do i teach the alphabet? I want an adventure and this certainly sounds like one but i want to make sure this is for me. I am not necessarily concerned about the different culture because i think i have more than enough life experience, but i am a little intimidated about the teaching aspect (kind of why i never got my teaching certificate in the first place). any good ideas about the best way to succeed in the classroom?

You succeed in the classroom by being personable, entertaining and good looking (at least 2 of the 3). Knowing when to go with the flow (GAME, Teacher, Snack Party. Teacher) and tricking them into learning something also helps. Good Luck!
