I am my thread's best customer. I am a bar fly, but ok, so be it. Here again. (Yes, I drank again)

A blue so blue, the lampshade eyes without recoil do consider the missive writ across his brow.
I squint and I see my own lashes like transparent tendrils,
like timid hydras,
like single cell algae under the lens.
Stare at the sun, the floaters spin round,
glimmers of nimbus,
refractions against my massive strands of bedazzled lampshade eyes. The deep blue sky, the careless thoughts and bright, bright tendril beams of rainbow spears,
searing pain at the corners,
and tears well with every effort to keep open.

I will see and understand,
he will suffer me and mine, I look at the charred bush, the tower clouds, and I look at this
without fear,
without doubt,
without malice.

The colors haze now, the unbearable light becoming a sting,
and still I stare right back.
Right There. Right Now. I Stare!

And still nothing. Nothing but

Ok, I am my own best customer. I was thunking that if I made this post titled "Post here if you're hammered" then we could see more unrestricted submissions. Oh well~

Ran into a great post on another thread here titled, "Before Sunrise." Great prose writing and very natural, uninhibited. I'm not really a poem dude, but when I drink, the short thought segments seem to work better. (No wonder Dylan Thomas and Jack London, among many a troubadour drank themselves to death, though I just write for kicks, and it's really boring in Korea sometimes, and I need my English fix before I talk in Korean with my family all week).

Anyway, there is a photography thread (great pics btw!), a joke thread, many discussion forums, and even a tech forum, so I thought that there should also be a prose/verse thread. Just a thought!

I think Benny Hill is a misunderstood genius. There's a thought! (It's true, though, a comic genius.)

Who dances, who prances, who moves like a winter wind?
Where do they go when they miss the snow?
These dancers of ice. Do they sweep the streets?
Do they run a beat? Where do they go?

The clink of keys, the closing door, the voice that echoes through the door.
The breeze that beats upon the door. The need to walk out that same door. All call with a chant, that beats to my heart.

What does this bring, is it real? Is it just a dream? Who knows, I don't.
