I didn't remember if we do it here. I just didn't want to be late for work tomorrow. |

Korea tried it out for a couple of years around the 1988 Olympics but gave it up as "too complicated."
Worth the effort to try again, seems to me. Longer light summer evenings would be a good thing. |

Is this really true? Does the mafia not have Rolexes that can be changed to daylight savings time? |

If Daylight Savings Time really works, why not have it all year round? |

It is true. Why do you think the crime rates are so low in Alaska? In the summer it's too light to get away with anything and in the winter it's too cold to bother.

Because it doesn't work in the winter. |

Seriously, if nature intended for us to "have an extra hour" in summer, it would have accomadated us in that way. |

Thats tongue-in-cheek, I hope. But the "seriously" makes me uncertain.
Telling time (not to mention modern clock worship) has zero relation with nature. DST serves to put us at least a bit more in synch with natural daily rhythms. |

Plus saves us money and helps save the environment by reducing energy usage (if more of our 'awake time' is in line with daylight hours, we're turning on fewer lights for shorter amounts of time... ). |

Oops, no. Wisahful thinking on my part (I blame it on lack of sleep).
But they are shortening, err, lengthening it starting next year. Ontario is following suit, and I believe Saskatchewan is not?
Anyway, I'm all confused- I wish there was no changing of time twice a year.
