Everyone seems to leave this country. My foreigner friends leave. Now, even several of my Korean friends have left this place in the past few years.

It almost makes it sad to bother making friends.

They just leave, leave, leave.

It almost makes me want to leave as well. Crying or Very sad

In all respect, maybe they just find you annoying, BBE. Why not make a point to also examine your personal hygiene while your at it.

Koreans say they're leaving also as an excuse. "Oh, teacher. I go to Australia next month. I won't be coming back to your class!" This is a common excuse given to a not-so-effective teacher. Believe me, I've been given a few.

It's Korea...that's what people do. There have been quite a few exceptions, but most the people I meet and work with could be considered "single serving friends."
