Is anyone teaching these??

I just took a job to start next Monday... actual teaching hours are fewer than 4 per day!!!

Just wondering about vacation time, though... do you think I have to teach when the school is on holiday? I didn't ask that because the contract says 10 working days holiday and I didn't want to appear to just think about holidays..

But I am wondering, especially since that other thread about vacation time.

If you have any experience, please share!

Thanks.

Did you make this legal at immigration? Do you have a F2-1 or F5 visa?

I just started one, early days (I've only been doing it for a week) but so far, so good.

My contract says when the school is on holiday I'll be teaching a speech contest. The vacation time seems a bit short but the pay is quality relative to the hours I'm teaching so it was a bit too tempting to pass up.

If your contract says ten days vacation that's all you're likely to get. After-school programs generally continue to run through the school vacations, so it's likely that you'll find yourself with one week off in the summer and another in the winter. During the rest of vacation time your classes will probably be brought forward from the afternoons to the mornings (seeing as the kids will have no regular school during that time). Ask whoever is running the program to be sure. Out of curiosity tzechuk, where in Korea is the school?
