How much is flight tax these days. Is it unheard of to be charged over 200,000 won in taxes on an international flight to the USA or Canada?

Seems to be a catchall for whatever charges the travel agency can cook up. I got quotes from two travel agencies on a flight home a couple of weeks ago. Both had the same ticket price, but one wanted 75,000 for tax, and the other wanted nearly 400,000

Well, Toronto has the highest airport tax in the world, so that may play a factor. It is rediculous the tax that happens at Pearson. So, if that is what's included in tax, than I wouldn't doubt seeing 200,000 for tax.

I know that when My director paid for my flight to Australia Leaving early may there was 230,000 in taxes.

I nearly fell over backwards ( I am an Aviation hobbiest ) to see that taxes was nearly 40% of the fare

thats only to Sydney
