Out of the way places on Phuket are great. Think NaiThon Beach maybe.
Khao Lak - an hour north of Phuket on the mainland - also has wonderful beaches. |

Maybe one of those resorts on the north east (???) part of Phi Phi Island (if they are operating). I heard they can be pretty isolated, which would be nice |

Ko Samet, Thailand. We honeymooned there. An idyllic island with the best beaches I've ever seen; sand like sugar, and crystalline water. |

DON'T go to Jeju. Went there for my honeymoon - to the "Hawaii of Korea" and watched the snow and ice melt.
Could have hung out on the beach but forgot to take my down coat to "Hawaii".
Of course, that was 1993 - and what with global warming and all . . . |

BORACAY
Gorgeous white-sand beach with clear water.. can walk almost everywhere WITHOUT shoes.. its 7km long I believe.. tons of live music up and down the beach.. lots of candelight places at night.. gorgeous for swimming during the day.. lots of palm trees for shade while walking around along White Beach Lane..
Absolutely gorgeous place.. ideal for a honeymoon.. never saw anywhere better for that anywhere in my life.
If you didn't choose Boracay.. then I'd say why not Waikiki Honolulu over say Europe.. |

Boracay looks NICE.
We're going there soon, on honeymoon. It looks like a perfect spot. It is also cheap, not a long flight from Korea, minimal hassle, very beautiful.
Trying to negotiate a decent place at a good price at the moment.
We're thinking about staying a blue mango on white beach. |

That's funny, because when I was teaching in Korea that's also how several of my students had describes Jeju to me - "The Hawaii of Korea."
