'Weirdo post'...humm. Actually, I find "...watching teachers both in and out of the classroom", kind of 'weird'.

The full run-down? Why don't you post it? Post who exactly said what exactly.

So, if I call Nowon slp and ask to speak with the 'new' manager, I will be connected with a New Zealand manager, right? Right.

You have been at slp for - what? a week?? - and you already know who is crazy...from what practical strangers have said to you? Sure you will make an exceptional judge for the present ESL staff.

I will reiterate my main points to you joseg; what training/background do you have in teacher evaluation? What is 'watching teachers both in and out of class' have to do with making a good buck? How do you do this? You follow your co-workers around before and after work, and base an assumption on their ability to teach from the information gathered outside of work; at a restaurant? A Bar? A PC bang? That isn't weird?

Come on joseg! If you are truly working as the manager at Nowon slp post your name, and the supervisor's name, so there can be a bit of substance to your remarks. Stick up for that 'fine' learning establishment by submitting viable statements, instead of fluff.

If you are for real and your idiot boss is for real then posting on how you treat your staff shows that you are both complete fools in reguard to PR. The only staff you would get to work would have to be really green. So tell me how does a business build up to where they can pay 3.5 mill a month to an idiot such as yourself employing green staff.?

it's becoming fast apparent that you are either thick or an *sshole (not simply an idiot or a troll, as i once thought). you are being asked by your boss (who is a confirmed *sshole--many would testify to this) to spy on the teachers (inside/outside of school). you are OK with that? i don't know about new zealand, but where i'm from you'd quickly pull a shank for pullin' sh*t like that.

I used to work at Chunggye ECC next door to Nowon SLP and had plenty of friends who worked there. Isn't that the school that set up a secret video camera in a teacher's apartment, caught him smoking dope and had him deported!!! I had a very good friend who was working there and was made to share an apartment with two other guys. He was promised his own room - but one problem (!) it was a 2 bedroom apt...so one guy had to camp out in the living room all the time and never had any privacy. Nowon SLP is notorious and but not as a reputable school - do a search and you'll see they've been giving to the teaching staff there up the ass for quite some time. You couldn't pay ME 3.5 mil to work there.

Thanks for the warning guys, I will definitely be keeping my eyes open. I know that there are always two sides to a story and I am being very careful with how I progress. The bottom line is that I want/need to get paid. I have had some bad experiences in the past and am hoping that this will be a good one. I never said that I was watching teachers outside of the classroom, I don't know where Harvard Material got that idea, I only said that I got the feeling tha t this hogwan took an unhealthy interest in their employees extracuricular activities. But with all the basket cases that hagwan owners have to deal with, it's probably not a bad idea to know who's doing what and to whom. And one more thing, I may be from NZ but I'd be willing to be that all the big man posters on this board who are being so hard on me are probably from Hicksville Canada. Which is worse?

Who are you Joseg? Are you for real or just a troll? I'm sending a link to this thread to some people at the school. Hopefully someone will have something sensible to say.

I'm left to believe that you are totoally full of BS......I just can't understand your motivation for making up a story like this? What benefit is there for doing so?

The video tape scenario was garbage slp nonsense. It is all false. They would have destroyed that teacher's life if they had the chance. If it was true the 'cool' owner would have had the teacher accused of smoking-up jailed for a while, and deported.
Nobody was arrested, nobody was deported, nobody was smoking dope and if the management/director has stated such it is a lie.
That situation is not unlike what joseg has been proposing - garbage. Nowon slp's useless garbage.

I'm not about to waste my time going out there. I just thought that your story sounded fishy so I called and asked one of the employees if there was a new supervisor working there. The answer was no. So I'm left wondering who you are.

It seems really strange to me but I'm not about to waste a friday evening by travelling way the heck out to Nowan just to see if you are for real.
