Whose going to win?
Just some background for people who don't know.. lots of controversies with Nagin (the current mayor).. over Katrina for one. Then a New Orleans will always be a 'chocolate city' comment which has widely-been criticized.. but lets face it, it is a predominately african-oriented city.
His opponent is a white guy.. so this race has a somewhat racial element combined with Katrina and if Nagin actually did what was needed from him in Katrina itself.
In addition.. quite a few black leaders like Bill Cosby, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton are down in New Orleans and organizing the black vote as well as a first time in history for former New Orleans citizens scattered around in various 'refugee cities' like Houston, Baton Rouge, etc. to be able to vote (as they were predominately african-americans of the poorer variety who was relocated, etc.)
Its also not exactly clear it will be Nagin again.. as its been said that even from the african-american community.. not all of them are necessarily Nagin supporters nor do they all think he necessarily handled the Katrina disaster all that well either..
Anyways.. whats everyone elses take on this.. |

It looks like there will be a run off. Personally, I don't care who wins. If I had to place a wager, I'd say Nagin will end up winning.
In my opinion, who would want an uphill job... |
