I saw this post on Occidentalism.org and thought it'd be worth sharing.

like the moment of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima
it resembles a mushroom cloud.
For this reason, we will call this atomic bomb wine!

The Japanese ambassador must be one hell of a diplomat after sitting stoically through that and the dressing down he got from Ban last year. That aside, I usually take Matt's blog with a large grain of salt, informative, yes, but not the most balanced work out there on the www.

That was a pretty tacky thing to say...and I am surprised the Japanese ambassador didn't walk out. And as one person on the blog wrote, several thousand Koreans also died in the atomic attacks.

Interesting to note that point in light of the war shrine visits by Koizumi. Several Korean war criminals are buried there too, but it's conveniently ignored over this side of the pond.

How aware are the general Japanese public of stuff like this?

I know many Japanese travel here for shopping/vacations ect so maybe if they knew about this kind of shocking behavor a boycott and the resulting dent on the economy might get these guys to grow up.

Seriously, it's the kind of stuff I wouldn't expect from a high school student, let alone a middle aged man.
