I don't know if Riley's last post in the other thread was aimed at the real Dave's meeting or the proposed Bundang supplement. So here's a new thread so we don't cross wires with the main event.
If, esteemed Riley, you were referring to this coming Thursday in Bundang, I think I'm a go. I am going away for the weekend, but may still be around for Thursday night.
Other takers? Other suggestions? |

Yeah, I was talking about the Bundang meeting as being for Thursday. It'll be like a spin off, and we know how successful spinoffs are.
Seriously, Thursday is good. Anyone else interested in meeting in Bundang and celebrating the long weekend? (In my case, it's an extra long weekend, got Monday and Tuesday off as well. Asa!) |

So Thursday is agreed, to me Seohyun sounds good, same with the Irish bar, now we need directions. Can anyone give directions to the place? |

The Irish bar is called Dublins. If you get out at Seohyeon station you'll be at Samsung Plaza. There are 2 main entrances/exits from Samsung Plaza with a lot of restaurants, bars, etc. lining the way. There's McDonalds and Krispy Kreme's on one end, but I'm pretty sure Dublin's is on the other side. If you walk out of Samsung Plaza, Dublins will be on the left, and on the 2nd or 3rd floor. It really isn't hard to find if you just make it to the station. |

So it's on.
What time? 7? 8? 9?...
And does anyone want to grab some food first? Or just get silly bladdered on dark beer and then stumble into a pojang macha for all the chicken asshole a poster could want? |

Since this is for all ESLers and not just public school types, then perhaps 9:00 pm so the hakwan teachers can get there too and not be too far behind
Food sounds like a good idea... suggestions? There is a dalk kalbi place out the other side of the station across from Mcdonalds... interested? |

So, 9pm and chicken first is the plan? Is the dalk-galbi place in a building or outside stand? |

Outside would be good...if there is an alternative. The weather has definitely turned to favorable for out of doors beverage imbibing. |

I was wondering why everyone was making this on a Thursday, because I keep forgetting that Friday is a holiday.
I know places to eat outdoors, but one's in Jeongjadong tucked far out of the way and the other's at Migeum station. I doubt there are any proper places in Seohyun for outdoors eating. The dalkkalbi place is pretty good, but it's a bit crowded usually.
Personally, I think I'm going to show up a bit earlier and go to my usual samgyeopsal place in Sunae. It's not outdoors, but it's definitely good. As far as outdoor bars go, again, I don't know of many, except for the one in Jeongjadong (Miller Time) that does liters of beer. They've got an outdoor patio and all. |

Well, slap-chucky. I'd be just as happy to go to a guaranteed good place at another subway stop. I have never hung out around those places so I would be down. Just say when and where.
And a very respectful P.S. to the Z-Man: You live down here but you are organizing the main event in Hongdae? As they say, mad props yo. |

Nah, I lived down in Bundang last year. I found a few good places to chow down depending on what people want, but this place is the one I always hit up when I head down to see people there. I'm not trying to play down the dalk kalbi place or anything (it is pretty damn good), but if anyone wants to join me and Tibby or eats before moving elsewhere, they're more than welcome. Seohyun's just a pleasant 20-minute walk away after that, which is just enough time to put a beer down on the walk before you get there. |
