the posters here on Dave's? Do you feel that they are generally nice people? Do you feel that their mouths write checks their bodies can't cash? Do you feel that in person, everyone would get along?

I see these arguments and what-not's and have to say that all in all, I firmly believe that everyone would get along in person. Not to say there wouldn't be many debates ranging from the color of the sky to the shape of a circle, but still. I feel that a person with an opinion is better than a person without one. Not to mention that a lot of people on here are well informed in MANY areas that I am not.

In my (limited) personal experience, the posters here are nice people. While their persona on the board may be a little warped, in 'real life' those I know care deeply about their job (students) and others.

Dave's is a bizzare, unreal world of ego's clashing and hyper-sensitive newcomers who haven't developed the Rhino-skin needed to enjoy the Dave's experience.

I guess over the years I've met about 50 Dave's posters and all of them have been pretty decent or awesome people. Except for one.....she who should not be named but we all seen naked!!!

I feel very lucky to have found Dave's. You guys and ladies have really given me so much useful information and it is appreciated! I think the majority of the posters are probably quite nice in person. Are the cranky posters nicer in person? I would think so. Some of the flaming gets tiresome but it is well worth the rewards. Very Happy
