Hi! I am a 24 year old female who lives and works in Anyang city. My friends and I see other foreigners around town all the time, but we haven't figured out where all of them go to party. We enjoy trekking it to Itaewon, Hongdae, etc, but would like to find some foreigners/foreigner-filled spots closer by. Any of you out there regularly spending weekends in Anyang? I'd like to expand my social circle and find some fun spots that aren't a 30 dollar cab ride away. Perhaps we can arrange a get together? My friends and I are heading to the Rockssin after 10 tonight, show up! Or if the idea of a "Foreigners in Anyang" night appeals, send me an email and maybe we can plan a weekend soon for all the Anyang-ites (?) to meet up!

Drop me a line!
Later,
Erin

I used to live near Pyoungchon station and at that time the OB Bar (I think the area was Mok Ga Ri). attracted a lot of westerners on Wednesday and Friday nights. There was also an all you can eat western style buffet on every second Friday at some Italian place in Hagwon Ga (not far from The OB place). I forget the name of the place and not sure if it is still on.

Good luck,

There are some good places in Il-bong ga area, near Rockssin. And tons of good places a little outside there for eats. I know a couple of bars where I've met foreigners in that area. I'm up for a get-together! There are 4 foreign teachers at our middle and high school and I'm sure they'd be interested too. I was over near Lotte Mart in the Indokwan/Pyeoungchon area last year so there are a few good places there, too. Just let me know!!!

Well, like I said in the original post, we're gonna be at the Rockssin tonight around 10, so show up if you dare! Just look for a drunkish bunch of foreign girls and come say hello.

See ya

cool dude. i'm in anyang right @ pyeongchon.

usually we head over to beomgye.

my new favorite thing to do on warm night, though, is head over to central park (right between pyeongchon and beomgye stations), bring a bunch of beer, snacks, some music, and hang out. place is beautiful, my favourite urban area in korea.

others feel the same way, i guess -- just got back from there now (1 a.m.) and the place was hoppin'.

Sweet. What do y'all say to an Anyang party next weekend?

Oh and by the way, there's a free concert in Central Park this Saturday. Um, that's today by now I guess. Anyway, it starts at 7:30. It'll be all teenybopper kind of stuff but, I don't know, maybe you're into H.O.T. or something.

Yeah, beomgye is a pretty good area to meet up with people. That '007' bar is pretty disappointing though. I mean, if you are going to rip off the James Bond franchise, at least do a half-assed job of it.
