NEW YORKPro-life advocates celebrated approval of the new anti-abortion drug UR-86 by the Food and Drug Administration Tuesday, calling it a "safe and effective method" for terminating pregnant women while leaving their unborn children unharmed.

A doctor explains to an expectant mother how her organs will slowly dissolve with the new pill.

Pfizer, manufacturer of UR-86dubbed the "last-morning-ever pill"said the drug is intended only for occasions when the mind-set or politics of the mother threaten the life of the fetus.

"This drug is designed for extreme cases in which the mother cannot or should not be saved, or when her health has been placed before that of her unborn child," Pfizer spokesman Anthony Wright said.

The orally ingested drug first tests for the presence of a fetus. If the outcome is positive, a near-lethal dose of barbiturates is released, which induces a coma in the expectant mother until the child is born, at which point a second, fatal dose is released.

...

"This is a step forward for equality," men's rights activist Charles Hackett said. "For too long, women have had an unfair advantage in the outcome of a pregnancy. UR-86 levels the playing field for husbands and boyfriends across America."

Satire to reveal the murder of unborn children, or proof positive Right to Lifer's are freaks???

You decide.

By the way - if you're a Right To Lifer - how does murdering doctors, and advocating killing mothers fit into the philosophy??

Makes you think they haven't thought this one through.

It's obviously satire. That is what the Onion does. And I don't know of any anti-abortion people who advocate killing mothers. And only a handful of obviously mentally ill people who try to kill abortion doctors.

Makes one think you don't know what you are talking about. The article is obviously poking fun at the pro-lifers.

When will we get a pill to kill the fathers? It would save a whole lot of people a whole lot of problems.

Of course it is a satire UM thank you for pointing out the obvious. I am familiar with 'The Onion' - and I doubt anyone could seriously try and advocate their case by recommending pharmaceutical murder.

It was a lead in to make my case of the irony of the name "Pro Life" when it rouses such contempt for people in it's supporters and, in extreme cases, murderous intent.
