Can anyone point me to some websites where I can check out Seoul apartments online? Yes, I realize most jobs come with an apartment. |

ah.. if you're new here, that stuff is well confusing..
the main thing to know is, the two numbers ie. 1000/50. that means, a deposit of 10million won, and rent of 500,000won (in units of 10000won). anyway i'm sure a korean friend could explain it to you.
when you rent a place, take a local with you, preferably one who knows about renting apartments and can see through the agent's tricks. don't try and do it alone, and don't go to one of those 'agents for foreigners'.. total sharks. |

When you get an agent to show you a place make sure you get him nailed down on a fee BEFORE it comes to contract signing time.
Some of the agents will have a premium price for foreigners/military personnel.
What's the going rate? 200,000 I heard. My wife and I got stung for 250,000 because we didn't check beforehand. |

Oneroom of course sticks to one room places, the Nearsubway site has places that are generally too expensive and Eden does mostly the Itaewon area. I know it's best to just go to the local 부동산 Budongsan but I was wondering if there are other sites out there. Thanks! |
