I'm interested in peoples opinion.

If I gave you 200,000won to spend on your students however you saw fit, how do you think it would best be spent?

If you choose other, say what below!

I chose board games, in the camps I've used them they've been very successful. I dont drill accuracy but I make sure they use English when talking whilst playing "give me X $s, go to jail" etc. Its tough the first time, but after a while playing they stop thinking about it, and get to really internalise the language.

Board games. I love them...they're perfect for getting student to focus on something else while speaking English so they're not self conscious. Of course, there's no way in hell I'd be allowed to play them at my current school but if I were able to, that's what I'd buy.

Whatever it was, I would make sure it wasn't a one-off like candy and rewards. Once it's gone, it's gone. I would prefer to have something next years class can use too....

Other: Realia.

1. Menus, catalogs, magazines.
2. Outfits(doctor's gown; police officer, taxi driver, etc.).
3. Play passports(and your own stamp for them), report cards, b-day cards, etc.
4. Shopping items: clothing, plastic fruits and vegetables, play TV, radio, camera etc.
5. Household items, sports items, school items, etc.
6. If you are really up for it, scenery boards.
7. All the TVXQ, Shinhwa, Boa, Won Bin, etc. merchandise you can get you hands on. Plug those materials into about any conversation/writing exercise imaginable, and watch interest explode.
8. Etc.

Kids just meld with that stuff. They completely forget they are taking a class.
