Im planning a trip to China during Chuseok - how far in advance should I be booking? I will be away for a month over June/July, and was wondering if I should book before I go or is it ok to wait until after I come back? I heard air tickets can be booked out months in advance over the holidays - true? |

It depends on the airline you want to use and WHERE in China you are going.
Typically if you want to travel during Chuseok (Chinese mid autumn festival) or Sol Nal (Chinese New Year) you need to book a long way in advance. If you are doing an airline direct booking... call now and make your reservations... you can always cancel if you find a better deal.
Having said that... Chuseok is LATE this year... October... so booking at the end of July/start of August should still be be OK (2 months in advance). |
